HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING (HIIT)

Have you heard about it yet?

HIIT is a slightly newer form of exercising that combines cardio and strength training. It can be used in a variety of training methods, from running and sprinting, jumping rope, in water, or even in different intervals of lifting weights. HIIT offers a form of exercise that can improve cardiorespiratory endurance (VO2 max), body composition, muscular endurance, bone density, and reduced risk of cardiovascular disease.

Because there are so many varieties to HIIT workouts, many people find it to be more enjoyable than traditional steady state cardio because it is less time consuming. It is also found to be a great form of exercise for clinical, healthy, and athletic populations.
